In The Meantime….

I won’t say I have mastered how to enjoy this season but I can probably point you in the right direction. A lot of girls get it wrong by thinking once they get into a relationship then they’ll be happy. So most of this is spent feeling incomplete and lonely, as a result ending up in a relationship with someone who they know isn’t right for them but because they give them the attention they need they settle.Contrary to popular belief, a relationship with the opposite sex isn’t meant to complete you it’s meant you compliment who you are. Completing you is God’s job because soon enough you find that the person who is meant to complete you is as flawed as you are. Then what?! Believe it or not, if you’re not happy being by yourself chances of you being happy in a relationship are zilch because you will probably find something to complain about then. Life’s too short to let your happiness lay in someone else’s hands.

My Golden Tips:

A season of focus on God

I’m a Christian so this season is also about growing in my knowledge of God and serving my church. I believe having a good foundation from a young age sets you up for life. God is the best foundation you can ever have.

It’s a season of growth

Last time I checked, the male species wasn’t becoming extinct anytime soon so why not focus on a couple of goals, smash them out the park and clap for yourself. These goals can be career, education, family, financial, physical, pleasure, artistic or attitude. In my room is a giant poster of all my goals for the next few years(one day I’ll have the guts to share these with y’all) These goals are all about things I want to achieve or fun stuff I want to experience in life before a certain age or areas of weakness that I need to mature.

A season of exploration

It’s about learning more about yourself; who you are, what makes you tick.Learning to love, serve and understand others around you. Meet new people and make memories. There are so many people that have been placed in your life to show love; it doesn’t just start when you get into a relationship. Spread some love in your home, work and in your community.

Please note the above principles can still be applied while in a relationship but more so when you are single because your time is yours to do what you wish.

John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

With Love Always
